Proofwrite.co.uk was established in 1999. The principal proofreader and editor is Alison Walters. She is director of the company and a Member of the Society for Editors and Proofreaders.
Alison is an experienced proofreader and copy-editor with a background in insurance, training, assessments and business skills.
She has completed courses in editorial skills, proofreading and Powerpoint presentations. She also studied creative writing for a number of years.
Alison’s strengths are her thoroughness in reading text and content, her ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure, and her enthusiasm.
Her interests include T’ai Chi, creative writing, reading and the theatre.
Alison works with a small team of freelance proofreaders and editors to provide a professional and personal service.
