ConfidentialityProofwrite Ltd T/A proofwrite.co.uk (the 'Company') agrees to treat all the client's material supplied for proofreading, editing or any other purpose as strictly confidential and shall not use the information other than for the purposes of its business disclosing it only to its officers, directors, employees or agents with a specific need to know. The Company further agrees not to disclose, publish or otherwise reveal any of the information received to any third party whatsoever except with the specific prior written authorisation of the client.
DisclaimerThe Company takes the utmost care with every assignment accepted. It is conceivable that on occasion errors will be missed even though a high level of proficiency has been applied. In each case, having exercised such care, the Company shall not be liable for any loss or damage arising by such proofreading and copy-editing. Furthermore the Company cannot be held responsible for any problems or consequential loss to the client arising as a result of delays by the post; document transmission and correction; computer failure; or errors in the original document be they grammatical or factual. The ultimate responsibility lies solely with the client in every case.
RateThe Company may work to an hourly rate, page rate or on a flat rate basis. If, whilst working on a flat rate basis, it becomes apparent that the fee is insufficient to allow the work to be completed to the required standard, the Company reserves the right to renegotiate the fee or tailor the remaining work to the budget. Any expenses, such as postage and telephone usage (including sending a fax) that are not covered by the fee, will also be charged.

Alison has had a busy year so far and enjoyed the latest Business Club meeting at Room 4 in Golborne, an excellent meeting venue with a warm welcome and delicious food.
September 2009 Alison had a great time meeting like-minded professionals and friends at the annual conference of the Society for Editors and Proofreaders at York University.
May 2009 Alison joins her first group via LinkedIn – Manchester Creative Industry – and considers the benefits of Facebook for business. If she registers, will she be tempted to spend time on frivolous gossip? br>
April 2009 Alison purchases her business cards from a local printer – Acorn Print Services. She joins the LinkedIn network for professionals and looks forward to the next meeting of Wigan Borough Business Club, where she will be able to hand out her new business cards. br>
